ABOUT

Having previously worked for iconic labels such as Christopher Shannon, Christopher Kane and Perks and Mini (P.A.M), Amanda Cumming and Kate Reynolds established their independent fashion label PAGEANT in 2010. Drawing inspiration from diverse realms and praised for their innovation and ingenuity, PAGEANT collections advocate an alternate vision of femininity and masculinity that is fresh, fierce and current. Their garments are forged from technically sophisticated fabrics, with aesthetic odes to sportswear.

Finalists in the BT Emerging Designer Awards 2015 & 2016, winners of the prestigious Tiffany & Co National Designer Award 2015 and with an established cult following in Australia; PAGEANT is steadily garnering worldwide attention for their “Strong brand DNA (and) high level of creativity” (Ruth Chapman, founder of MatchesFashion.com) and “Individual point of view” (Kellie Hush, judge and Editor-in-Chief, Harper’s Bazaar), as well as accolades from local and international press, including Harper’s Bazaar, WWD, Dazed Digital, Oyster, RUSSH, i-D Magazine, Into the Gloss and Style Bubble (“Their collections have been going from strength to strength” - Susie Bubble).

The PAGEANT customer is autonomous, self-determining and audacious. They possess a bold individuality and a keen wit. They are astute and streetwise, yet playful and up for adventure. Engaged with art, music and culture, the PAGEANT customer is savvy yet open-minded, with a thirst for new experiences.

PAGEANT acknowledges the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which we live and work and pay our respect to Elders past, present and future, and to all First Nations people.
